Forum warning points world of warships8/25/2023 ![]() That pattern, which almost surely must exist, should be use in conjunction with disconnect and reconnect data to merit punishments. I find it extremely unlikely that there are people out there who play the game just to disconnect randomly to make it look like it was accidental simply because that's not an effective form of trolling or rage-quitting. Second, if they ARE a problem caused by trolls, there's almost surely a pattern to them: Players constantly disconnecting on certain maps or game modes, players only disconnecting when their team is losing, players with horrible stats and nothing but a few ships that only play to disconnect, etc. I rarely see them, and I play reasonably often at tiers 4 through 8. First, I'm not buying the notion that intentional disconnects are a huge problem. If the system now punishes people for disconnects, that is foolish, and that's coming from somebody who might have the game crash once every few months. If it were that easy, nobody would ever have a bad internet connection, ever. Some of the replies on this thread are amazing - expecting the player to somehow "fix" his ISP. You are the very reason this punishment system is in place, so thank you. The fact is people are sick and tired of afk players, so WG does this, if your relegated to co op for being afk, it means you are, a lot of the time, which means, all your doing is hurting teams when your not around. I will not be very happy to be running around pink in Ranked if that happens to me. On rare occasions, the game has been reluctant to log back in and I don't make it back in during the battle. I have to Ctr-Alt-Del and kill WOWS and log back into the game. If I play for several hours in a session, I know there will a time where my team is moving out and I am still on the loading screen, waiting to be added. If posters are to be believed, people are becoming pink from the first instance of disconnection that is way too restrictive. What I am expecting is that the number of times during a time period is increased. Since that is probably never going to happen, there is no way to accurately detect it. That would allow them to see whether the signal to the modem had dropped from the provider or through disconnection. Buried in the Eula could be wording that says we allow WG to see what is running on our computers/devices and to access information on the modem. And according to the rules as they stand regarding the new system, you would only get penalized for leaving the battle early if you quit before sinking, so (assuming OP isn't spinning a load of bullocks), something with the detection system isn't working as it should and I'm throwing around wild guesses as to what it could be.There is a way, but it causes the same privacy issues that basing MM on the loadout of the player's ship does. Because as you said, OP was quite evidently not AFK at all. I'm just brainstorming if the detection system falsely equated a 0 damage game as the same as being inactive. So don't worry) but no reason to give him a warning/ penalty. So just a very bad match for him (seen it, been there, done it OP. That way I can still contribute to the match.Įdit: I just now see OP launched torpedo's as well. And when I see good play I'll stick around to play "admiral" and give advice: 4 eyes are seeing more than 2. I usually do that to see how the match is going. So when destroyed I'll wait a couple of seconds before leaving. A bit the same principle as used to happen sometimes in the past: completing a mission but not getting the reward right away. My only explanation I can think of OP hit the quit button the second he got blown up, perhaps having a ms of delay to the server to process his destruction. I quit matches in which I was destroyed as well without issues. So it might have been a "not proven" battle. Also don't believe he hit "S" and went AFK: he did spot 4 ships. Unless hitting "W"4 times and then go away but I don't believe one can survive a 21 km trip that way. Then again as long as you weren't afk, moved around a bit and spotted a ship or two players get some XP as opposed to the 0 XP results for AFKers, hmm. Good catch, might be that the automatic system equals "You have not proven yourself in battle" kinda performances as being AFK.
